Travel with park biologist Phil Careless from The Couchiching Conservancy’s Kris Starr Sanctuary to the beautiful fens and granite barrens of Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park. On this journey into one of Southern Ontario’s largest and least know parks, we shall seek out the species that grow, swim and run across this semi-wilderness: life that is dependent on the connection between conservancy and park lands.
It is a moderately difficult walk. No hills or tricky footing but we will not be on a flat cleared trail. Please ensure you are prepared for a full afternoon outdoors with good footwear, snacks and other personal items.
Leader: Phil Careless
Meeting spot: Kris Star Sanctuary. Meeting spot is Turner Rd.
