2018 Rama Powwow

All are welcome at the 32nd Annual Rama Powwow on August 25-26, 2018 at the John Snake Memorial Multipurpose Grounds in Rama, Ontario, Canada. Witness some of Turtle Island’s finest World-Class singers and powwow dancers as they compete against one another in this competition powwow which has become one of the biggest and best powwows in Ontario. Dozens of vendors (food, arts, and crafts).

Rama Powwow

This is a great family event, open to all. Come and learn about our beautiful First Nations culture and history. $10 day, $15 weekend. Kids under 12, veterans, seniors, or disabled individuals get in for free.

Chippewas of Rama First Nation have been hosting powwows since 1986 at the beautiful John Snake Memorial Multipurpose Grounds on the territory of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation. No pets, alcohol, or drugs are permitted onsite.

You are invited to learn more about our community, whose pride in Ojibwe traditions and restoring traditional ecological knowledge are at the forefront of community visioning. This stands alongside progressive programs, economic development initiatives and member services. Throughout our history, the Chippewas of Rama First Nation have been known as a caring, sharing people. Our Chippewa territory has been called ‘the gathering place’ where travelers rested before continuing on their journey, where great meetings were held and important agreements signed. In this tradition, all are invited to gather here with us for our annual Rama Powwow each year.
