The Happy Show, a group exhibition featuring work by Patti Agapi, Kathryn Kaiser, Meg Leslie, and James Nye opens at Drkrm Studio & Gallery with a reception on November 3, 7-9pm and runs the month of November. The exhibition explores the concept of ‘Happy’ through the perception of four artists working in different mediums. Musical entertainment will be provided by local artist and musician Paul Court.
Patti Agapi is an Orillia based abstract mixed media artist. She creates deeply layered and textured abstract paintings and drawings. Meg Leslie is a ceramic artist who grew up in Orillia, but now lives in Kitchener. Her work is made by hand and infused with spirit. Kathryn Kaiser creates thoughtful, organic and vibrant oil paintings that capture the essence of her subjects. Using various mediums she generates an intimate connection between the viewer, the world and herself. James Nye is a Kitchener based visual Artist. His paintings are rooted in the realist, descriptive tradition of oil painting. James paints honestly, accurately and economically.
Drkrm Studio & Gallery is located at 18 Mississaga St E, upstairs and is accessed through the rear entrance (Laneway across from the Orillia Opera House.) Located in the heart of Orillia, Ontario the Dark Room Studio & Gallery is a 1500 sqft Art Gallery, Photography Studio, Darkroom and Creative Workshop space operated by Tyler Knight.
