Mariposa Folk Festival
For over 50 years, the Mariposa Folk Festival has been featuring amazing artists. The weekend features an amazing line-up of known artists and rising artists! But the Mariposa Folk Festival is more than just music, with all the artists, craftsmen and more, the festival is full of activities to enjoy for everyone!
The festival features an Artisan’s Village where guests can interact with the designers of original products. With the large number of craftsmen and artists, there is a large variety of vendors with many unique products such as soaps, jewelry, CD’s from artists, paintings, instruments and so much more!
Some artists such as Barenaked Ladies, Matt Anderson, Ruth B. and more, will be performing throughout Friday – Sunday, all day long! The amazing lineup will for sure be a great reason to visit the Mariposa Folk Festival this year!
Have you ever tried yoga or Tai Chi Qigong? Well this is the place to try it! Many hands-on experiences and interactive workshops will also be available all weekend! Try something new, get inspired, by these amazing artists!
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
Enjoy some great food and beverages with the many vendors set up throughout the weekend, such as Aladdin Indian Cuisine, Pita Pit, and Apple Fritter Factory or enjoy some beverages from Shine Juice Bar and Café or the Mariposa Pub Tent! Many more vendors will be available all weekend!
Children activities such as face painting, clay creatures, window suncatchers and many more crafts will be offered so kids can enjoy this amazing weekend as well!
After a long day of music, crafts and activities, enjoy the beautiful Lake Couchiching or The Gordon Lightfoot Trail located along the waterfront! Enjoy the amazing scenery and water after a day in the sun!
Camp at The Pete Seeger Memorial Campground, located in Tudhope Park, just a short walk from the festivities! Camping is available from Thursday until Monday. Why not stay the night and keep the day going!
